Beth Walls - Round 4

My Inspiration:

I used a piece of old fence board and blocks to create my piece.  I decided to make it say Walls, which is our last name. I wanted it to be more personal to our family.  The blocks are blackwashed to make them look older and match the fence board better. 

 

 (The flash from the camera actually makes them look brighter, but they are really quite darkened by the blackwash.)  This piece is hanging on the wall right by the front door, so now my husband has a place to put his keys when he comes home.

The above picture shows the piece in daylight, without a flash.   The weathering on the board and the blocks is more apparent.
