Butterfly Baby Quilt

Hi there. My name is Tasara, I am a Mom to a 9 yr. old boy and 3 yr. old identical twin girls. I am also a Navy wife. I started sewing about a year and a half ago and I can't get enough. 

     I found this challenge while "exploring" on pinterest and thought I would give it a try. I have never entered any contest like this before and am nervous and excited. 

    So, here goes. This is my entry for the sewing category for The Pinterest Challenge. I saw the original quilt from Little Birdie Secrets when I first got my machine and knew I had to figure out how to make it.

I don't have a die cut so all the butterflies and filigree are hand drawn, cut, then fused on (I think it took more time trying to figure out the placement then it did anything else). :) I free motion quilted it leaving out the butterflies so you can see the butterflies on the back side. The binding was machine attached to the front then I hand binded it to the back.

This was such a labor of love and now my girls are insisting that I make them one each. We'll see. :)
